Perspective is Entirely Everything

Last week the launch of the Get High On Motivation LIVE 2020 Vision Tour was postponed. Before I jump on my soapbox, let me define perspective. Oxford defines perspective as a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.

For most people I have encountered since Friday, I have been met with a streamlining attitude. “I am so sorry about your event.” “Too bad it snowed.” “I am sad your event was cancelled.” And they have all gotten about the same response from me, “I’m cool. Now I have more time to prepare and promote. More people can be sure to have my event on their calendar. ” Perspective is everything Lovebug!

I could have easily been bummed out that things didn’t go to plan, but luckily for me I have a mantra engrained in my brain, “Everything always works for me.” I immediately saw this delay as Divine intervention. It took me no time to “count it all joy.” There is no way this happen as an act of God against me. My God, Source Energy, Universe serves me. The Power is conspiring for me. The Universe has my back, is at my side, goes before me, covers me and holds me up, “…of whom shall I be afraid?”

All that is manifesting in your life, is for your good, including the “negative” people and situations in your life. Contrast brings with it, the gift of clarity. Contrast sheds light on the areas that could use some love and attention. Tribulation builds your mental and spiritual muscles. I would much rather learn the lessons on this level versus when I get to my destined appointment. Furthermore, when I encounter such a situation again, I will be prepared and unmoved. What do you think the purpose is for building up character and never putting it to the test?

Each lesson in life prepares us for the next level. It’s like Math…. You started with basic arithmetic, then you moved up to Algebra. Algebra 1 led you to Geometry and Algebra 2. And if you are anything like me, you continued on up to Calculus and beyond. (Yes there is Math beyond Calculus. lol) Pay attention and take note of the lessons being presented to you in the form of trials and obstacles. Give thanks that you are being built up to be stronger, wiser and better.

When you shift your perspective, everything and everyone around you start looking different. Accept that it happening for your greatest good. Now you must decide what you choose to see. Opportunity or obstacle? Conflict or character-building experience? It’s up to you.

Listen to this week’s episode of Get High On Motivation: How to Transform Dreams into Reality for a dose of motivation and clarity. Listen on your favorite music or podcast app.

Be happy. Be healthy. Be You!

Africa Johnson

Africa has been a hair stylist in Colorado Springs for many years and has established a loyal customer base, I recently spoke with one of Africa’s clients from over ten years ago who said that she had not been able to find anyone who could do her hair like Africa since she left Colorado Springs. When my hair stylist had to reduce her clientele, she told me that Africa was the only one she would trust to do my hair. She is skilled, talented, caring and professional. She really listens to her clients and takes pride in having clients leave her shop completely satisfied and looking good!
