What is your brand about?

Our clothing brand is designed to inspire. We’ve committed to making clothes to inspire and encourage people forever. That’s my motto, no matter what you know, your story is your story. So be proud and tell it.

How did you get started?

I had an idea of starting a clothing brand years ago when I graduated high school back in 1999, but life happened. I was in a car accident in 2016. I got out of that accident, pretty much unscathed.  I told myself, you only live once. And I started a clothing brand. I just jumped on it and ran with it. No more being afraid.

What is an important value you have in business?

I was always taught not to compete but collaborate more. There are so many other clothing brands out there. It’s always good practice to try to work with people who are willing to help you head in the right direction. Collaboration is a significant value.

What are you learning as you’re doing business?

Don’t be afraid to jump, I mean never. The opportunities are going to come and go, but there’s never going to be a perfect time. So if you have an idea, if you have thoughts, write them down and go through with them. Don’t hesitate. Don’t hold your ideas in your head. If you have a good idea and you tell some people about it, they may be able to help you with either getting started or putting you in places to be successful.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Be more confident. I don’t have a college degree, so when it came to working for someone else, I didn’t always put my best foot forward. I never thought that I would be in those positions. I understand now that I can be an asset to whatever company that employs me.

Where do you see your business heading?

I currently have everything on online websites, and an e-commerce peso business, but eventually, I want to diversify by getting into outlet markets, local stores, boutiques, or even having my own little kiosk would be great.
